What began as Coffee & Cocktails has evolved into VÁ - a natural progression driven by growth, creativity, and a desire to create something truly unique within Reykjavík’s hospitality scene.

While Coffee & Cocktails built its reputation on quality drinks, welcoming service, and memorable experiences, VÁ represents the next chapter: a more refined concept centered around exceptional cocktails, curated wines, flavorful tapas, and an atmosphere designed to leave a lasting impression.

The name VÁ comes from the Icelandic expression of surprise and admiration - that moment of “wow” when everything comes together perfectly. This feeling is at the heart of everything we do.

Imad, with Moroccan roots and extensive experience in Iceland’s cocktail industry, brings creativity, hospitality, and a deep understanding of guest experience. Jofred, originally from Venezuela and an experienced chef, contributes culinary expertise, flavor, and a passion for bringing people together through food.

Today, VÁ is more than a bar. It is a destination where handcrafted cocktails, carefully selected wines, and Mediterranean-inspired tapas come together in a warm and sophisticated atmosphere.

A key part of the VÁ experience is our signature cocktail and tapas pairing concept. Each signature cocktail is thoughtfully matched with a complementary tapa, creating unique flavor combinations that enhance both the drink and the dish. The goal is to take guests on a culinary journey where cocktails and food work together to create a truly memorable experience.
