The Icelandic Phallological Museum
The Icelandic Phallological Museum, located in Reykjavík, is a unique museum dedicated to a collection of animal penises. It is one of the few museums in the world that focuses on such a topic. The museum was founded in 1997 by Sigurður Hjartarson, who started collecting specimens in 1974. Over time, the collection has grown to include over 200 species of both land and marine animals.
At the museum, visitors can see penises from various species, including whales, reindeer, dolphins, and even humans. A notable highlight of the collection is a human penis, which was donated posthumously.
The museum is known for being both educational and entertaining, blending science with humor to present the subject matter. It also features a café that serves quirky and fun dishes, including the popular "phallic waffles," which reflect the humor and distinctive approach that the museum is famous for.

The Icelandic Phallological Museum is located at Kalkofnsvegur 2, Hafnartorg.
